IgE Serum Allergy Test Malaysia

During the IgE serum allergy test, your doctor will take a blood sample from a vein in your arm using a small needle. After the needle is inserted, a small amount of blood will be collected into a test tube or vial. You may feel a little sting when the needle goes in or out. This process usually takes less than five minutes.

Cambridge Food Intolerance Test

This is a rapid test kit. The reaction tray is spotted with food protein extracts. A small blood sample is taken and is then diluted and added to the tray. In subsequent steps the use of detector and developer solutions identifies the presence of food antibodies.

Allergy Treatments

Allergy Test Malaysia

When it comes to addressing mite allergies, our doctors can offer effective solutions through oral medication. For allergies related to other common allergens, we employ a multifaceted approach to treatment. This includes oral medications, creams, and infusion therapies.

Sublingual Immunotherapy

Allergy Test Malaysia

Sublingual immunotherapy is a therapy that treats the cause of allergy by giving small doses of what a person is allergic to, which increases “immunity” or tolerance to the allergen and reduces the allergic symptoms.

A patient must perform allergy testing to find the causes of allergy. Then a custom-mixed vial of drops is prepared for the patient. The patient takes drops under the tongue daily.  During the first 4 months called the escalation phase, the dosage is gradually increased. After that in the maintenance phase, the patient takes the same drops each day.

Symptoms of Allergies

Allergy Test Malaysia

Allergy symptoms are classified as mild, moderate or severe:

  • Mild reactions include local symptoms (affecting a specific area of your body) such as a rash or hives, itchiness, watery/red eyes, hay fever and runny nose. Mild reactions do not spread to other parts of your body.
  • Moderate reactions include symptoms that spread to other parts of your body. Symptoms may include itchiness, hives, and/or swelling and trouble breathing.
  • A severe allergic reaction, known as anaphylaxis, is a rare, life-threatening emergency in which your body’s response to the allergen is sudden and affects the whole body. Anaphylaxis may begin with severe itching of your eyes or face. Within minutes, more serious symptoms appear, including throat swelling (which could cause problems with swallowing and breathing), abdominal pain, cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, hives and swelling (angioedema). You may also have mental confusion or dizziness, since anaphylaxis may cause a drop in blood pressure.

What Are Allergies

Allergy Test Malaysia

Allergies are your body’s reaction to a substance it views as a harmful “invader.” For example, coming into contact with what is normally a harmless substance, such as pollen, might cause your immune system (your body’s defence system) to react. Substances that cause these reactions are called allergens.
