Health Screening Service

Health Screening Packages

Health screening is a fantastic way to invest in your future. Early detection and treatment of disease can reduce the long term cost of medical expenses.
More over, many diseases now, like cancer, are detected at younger ages and in early stages partially due to an increase in people going for health screening. This is because diseases at early stages may not have any symptoms.
However, certain investigations may lead to unnecessary investigations if it ends up being inconclusive or false positive. Therefore, it is important to get these tests done under the supervision of a medical doctor so that they will be able to tailor the screening tests to you.
Our doctors at Dr Tan & partners are well accredited and trained to ensure you are on the path to good health.
Food Allergy Testing is available in our Malaysia & Singapore Branches.

Exercise Stress Test (RM350)

Add-on

The Exercise Stress Test is a simple but effective tool for:

  • Diagnose a coronary artery disease
  • Identify a possible heart-related cause of symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath or lightheadedness
  • Determine a safe level of exercise per individual
  • Check the effectiveness of procedures done to improve coronary artery circulation in patients with coronary artery disease
  • Predict risk of dangerous heart-related conditions such as a heart attack (risk stratification)

NOTES:

  • Please let us know about any pre-existing medical conditions you may have. This includes a list of medications or supplements you might be taking. If you have an inhaler or other medications that you are actively taking, please bring them with you.
  • Do not consume caffeine (or caffeine based products) 24 hours prior to the test
  • Drinking water and having a modest meal is fine but do not eat a hearty meal prior to the exercise< stress test. It is best to be fasting for at least six hours prior to the test.
  • Wear comfortable exercise clothes and running shoes (this is essentially running on a treadmill). Avoid loose baggy clothes if possible.
  • If you have a hairy chest or excessive body hair, a light shave of specific areas might be required to attach the electrode patches to conduct the test.
  • Once the setup and preparations for the test is done, we will begin the test with the supervision of the doctor in charge.
  • Expect it to run between five and 20 minutes depending on the state of health and test readings.
  • Each stage of the test will be three minutes long.
