What is a P-shot?
P-shot is also known as Priapus shot. It is a procedure that involves taking platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from blood and injecting it into the penis. P-shot helps to promote tissue growth, improves blood flow into penis to make erection harder, longer, and more lasting.
How Do P-shots Work?
P-shot starts with blood taking whereby blood is drawn from the patient’s body, which is then placed in a machine to separate the blood cells, platelets, and serum. The platelet rich plasma serum is then re-injected into the patient’s penis. Platelet rich plasma serum helps the body to repair itself by releasing growth factors, stimulating the cells to generate new tissue to repair damaged blood vessels. This helps the blood circulation to penis become better and will lead to better erection.

What Benefits Can a Man Have from P-shots?
- Stronger and firmer erections
- Easier to achieve and maintain erections
- Increases penile girth
- Improvement and resolution of penile curvature from Peyronie’s disease
- Increase sensitivity to penis
- Better blood flow to penis
What to expect during the P-shot procedure?
P-shot is an outpatient procedure, so a patient can come into the clinic for the procedure and go back home once it is done.
The steps of procedure are as below:
- Apply numbing cream at penis to numb the area for injections.
- Take blood samples from patient, usually from arm and blood is put inside a tube.
- Put the tube in a centrifuge machine for about 5 minutes to separate the component of blood and isolate the platelet rich plasma.
- Extract the platelet rich plasma from the tube and put them into syringes.
- Inject the platelet rich plasma into the penile shaft via 4 separate injections.
Possible side effect for P-shot
Patients may experience minimal swelling and bruise for up to 3 days after treatment. Usually this is minor and will subside by itself. There is no downtime for this procedure.
When should you see the result after P-shot?
The results can vary based on the patient’s overall health as well as other factors that may affect sexual function. Some people can see the result right away after one treatment and some require more than 3 treatments to see the result/effect. Generally, most patients will have to do up to 3 sessions during the first time doing this procedure.
These results usually can last for 6 months to 1 year and patients will be required to repeat the procedure when the effect is over.
